+It might not be complete or perfect, but it's better than having nothing.
+

+- create the milestone
+- assign bugs to the milestone
+- move unfinished work to the *next* milestone
+
+In the sources:
+- ensure all work is committed
+- update the NEWS file
+- update the VERSION_NUM variable in setup.py
+- update the CHANGES file (hint: bzr log -rXXX + attach the footer saying "this is not a complete list...")
+
+Build the release tarball by running:
+python setup.py sdist
+
